Experience the atmosphere of racing on the ‘Ultimate’ race day without going the full distance! This event offers a challenging yet manageable course, making it ideal for both seasoned triathletes looking for a solid competition and newcomers seeking to test their endurance. Join fellow athletes and immerse yourself in the excitement and camaraderie of this celebrated race.

THE SWIM – 1KM

A 1km deep water start swim in the pristine emerald waters of Jervis Bay

From transition you head West out to Woollamia. 2 full laps x 30km

Pre-event information
  • All our Events are governed by Aus Triathlon Policy and Rules. Full details can be accessed as follows:
  • The Competitor Categories are as follows:
    • 18-19,20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80-85, 86+
    • Male, Female & Mixed teams, Clydesdales & Athenas will be recognised on the podium and then we have ‘Race Ya Mates’ which has no podium prizes.
    • Minimum age for individuals – 18 years. Minimum age for Team members – 17 years. Both at 31st December 2024
    • Age as of 31st December 2024
  • Request for withdrawal must be sent via email to office@eliteenergy.com.au

From the Referees

 All races over the course of the weekend are conducted under Aus Triathlon

Race Competition Rules & will be Non-Drafting Races. I would suggest that you
follow the link & familiarise yourself with the rules. Listed below are some of these rules.

SWIM

  • Water temperature will be measured on the morning of each race and competitors will be notified regarding the permissibility of wetsuits at least 30 minutes prior to each race.
  • Swim caps must be worn by all competitors.
    Swimmers must start in their correct wave.

CYCLE

  • Shoes must be worn & torsos covered at all times.
  • Make sure your helmet is on & fastened before you take you bike from the rack & not removed until your bike is back on the rack at the end of the cycle leg.
  • Always ride on the left side of the road unless you are passing another competitor, and do not cross a marked centre line under any circumstance, unless to avoid an accident. Failure to do so may result in the issue of a Red Card.
  • If you are issued a Red Card you may continue your race but you are required to meet with the Race Referee after your race to discuss the Red Card.
  • Blocking – keep to the left of the course at all times. Impeding the progress of another cyclist may result in a Yellow Card Penalty- stop/start penalty to be served at the Penalty Box on the course.
  • Illegal Pass – always pass another cyclist on their right. Passing on the left or inside may result in the issue of a Blue Card Time Penalty by a Technical Official & a time penalty to be served at the Penalty Box on the course.
  • Time Penalty is 3 minutes on Saturday & 5 minutes on Sunday. 
  • Draft Distance on Sunday is 12 metres – this is measured from the front wheel of the leading bike or motorcycle to the front wheel of the following bike.
  • The Draft Zone for all other vehicles is 35 metres.
  • When you enter the Draft Zone you must proceed with the passing move.
  • You have 25 seconds to do this. Failure to do so may result in the issue of a Blue Card Time Penalty by a Technical Official & a 5 minute penalty to be served at the Penalty Box on the course.
  • If you are overtaken by another cyclist you must immediately drop back the 12 metres before you make an attempt to pass another cyclist. Failure to do may also result in a Blue Card time penalty for drafting.

SATURDAY ONLY

  • Draft Distance on Saturday is 10 metres – this is measured from the front wheel of the leading bike or motorcycle to the front wheel of the following bike.
  • The Draft Zone for all other vehicles is 35 metres.
  • When you enter the Draft Zone you must proceed with the passing move.
  • You have 20 seconds to do this. Failure to do so may result in the issue of a Blue Card Time Penalty by a Technical Official & a 3 minute penalty to be served at the Penalty Box on the course.
  • If you are overtaken by another cyclist you must immediately drop back the 10 metres before you make an attempt to pass another cyclist. Failure to do may also result in a Blue Card time penalty for drafting.

SUNDAY ONLY

  • Draft Distance on Sunday is 12 metres – this is measured from the front wheel of the leading bike or motorcycle to the front wheel of the following bike.
  • The Draft Zone for all other vehicles is 35 metres.
  • When you enter the Draft Zone you must proceed with the passing move. You have 25 seconds to do this. Failure to do so may result in the issue of a Blue Card Time Penalty by a Technical Official & a 5 minute penalty to be served at the Penalty Box on the course.
  • If you are overtaken by another cyclist you must immediately drop back the 12 metres before you make an attempt to pass another cyclist. Failure to do may also result in a Blue Card time penalty for drafting.
On the Day
  • Collection of your Registration pack is compulsory for all individual entrants and only 1 representative from a team.
  • These can be collected from the Registration Marquee, located at Huskisson Hotel Lawn
  • Please check the Event Schedule for registration and transition opening times
  • Please bring Personal ID, TA membership if applicable
  • On The day bring your QR code to registration
